Inspired by a beautiful aerial view of ice on the Sahara desert. Such a beautiful and strange occurrence made more prevalent from climate change. The wonder of these opposites, water and earth, hot and cold existing side by side for a brief moment in time.
 
​I created the ice elements in many layers of different mediums, glazes, metallic, glitter and pearl acrylics. On a surface of sand coloured velvet, I used matte and gloss to create a surface that reflects it's parts differently as lighting changes. ​
