On velvet over canvas this painting is concentric circles and ovals in deepest blues and lush purples edged in impasto gold. The painting catches different lighting in it's surface and plays with the eye as the depths seem to shift and blur centring around the centre. The central orb hovers like a sun over an azure deep violet rippling.
